A nice intro to this brand
I like this set because you get a good range of products from this line, from cleansers and masks to a moisturizer, allowing you to test the line's core offerings. Some may find the sample sizes, particularly of the masks, a bit small but its a lovely kit to get you started and to essentially try before you commit to full size. Each product I have used from the kit has worked well and made my skin feel fresh.
This is my first time trying Nuori skincare and I have to say that I am impressed. Out of the line my favorite product is the Vital foaming cleanser. I love how it takes off my makeup and leaves my face feeling refreshed. I also really like the toner, it comes in a spray bottle which is interesting but I prefer to spray it onto a cotton round and then apply it to my face. It has a nice hydrating feel. I have used the mask one time and it is very hydrating, just not something I feel I need every day but ' the one' moisturizer is excellent for daily use I like to use it every morning and then my foundation glides on. I am excited to see my results with continued use but so far so good!!
I am really surprised at how little NUORI does on this product listing to describe their company- because its a pretty neat company! They make small batch skin care products with the intention that the products are FRESH when you get them, and aren't eternally shelf stable. I love this concept! It means higher ingredient potency, which is what we are paying for, after all!Anyways- all this to say: If you aren't familiar with the brand check them out. This kit is a great way to try out their core product line! I love getting travel kits like this, I find them really fun. This would also make a neat gift!I've always found NUORI products to be high quality and to deliver results. In this kit, I especially like the Clarity Mask and the "Vital Unifier", but genuinely enjoyed all of the products.
Discovery kit helped me discover the first toner I've ever liked
This is my first Danish skincare and the first thing I noticed is the fragrances are different than ours. Each piece had their own smell, ranging from sweet without being floral (the cleaner) to a menthol eucalyptus (the Clarity mask). The only smell I didn't like was the face cream, although I couldn't identify the smell. Overall, I have a strong nose yet don't find them overpowering and they didn't trigger my asthma. Anyhow, the foam cleanser is interesting/different because you're supposed to massage it on a dry face - I ended up adding a little bit of water just because I felt like I was tugging my skin too hard while spreading it around. The 3-in-1 Toner really did perk me up and make my face feel moisturized, which is funny because up until now I've never liked toners. The Supreme Moisture mask can be left on if you wish, so I tried it overnight without any irritation and my worst areas around my lips were a little more filled out in the a.m.. Finally, the Clarity mask is like a clay mask which dries out/shrinks your pores and I think is meant for blemished skin; my face felt tighter afterwards. The set is intended to be traveller or trial sizes, and the price/sizes in this kit are in line with the name brand travel sets you buy in the US (from what I can see, Nuori is a name brand not an off brand, so the comparison to US brand names is apt). My only question is why for a set they include two masks. When I travel I don't usually have the time to do extra procedures like masks. I'd have rather seen an eye cream, for instance. But that's a quibble. In sum, although I don't need to buy this tester set again, I may buy a full size of my favorite of them (the 3-in-1 Toner), which means this Discovery set did its job.
A cost effective way to try a variety of high quality skin care products, or as a luxe gift.
It's winter and with dry air & forced heat, moisture is everything!5 stars for a really solid variety pack of high quality European skin care. Very useful to be able to test a variety pack. I might rate some individual products as lower b/c of scent, but I'm not dinging this listing for that.I've tried all the products now, and so far the One Face Cream is the one I like the best - a little feels like it goes a long way and I didn't feel greasy afterwards. My skin was happy - no reactions. But all except the one face cream have noticeable scents, descriptions below. What I like:• Excellent way to test out a range of high quality, core skin-care products, without committing to a lot of product at major expense. Vegan, not tested on animals, and super clear ingredients.• The foaming cleanser is a rich, finely bubbled foam that left my skin feeling quite moisturized, not stripped dry. Feels like I'll get a good number of washes from the bottle, we'll see.• The toner spray smells a bit herbal, less "sweet candy" flavored than the cleanser. Hours later (no other product/makeup) my skin still feels soft, so perhaps toners really do help keep the moisture locked in• The one face cream is happily unscented - this is not greasy, thick & a little goes a long way. I like this a LOT and I would focus on buying this one again in larger quantity.• The deep moisturizing mask smells like the foaming cleanser with a pretty strong sweet candy (think sweet tarts) scent that was a little distracting when falling asleep (you can use it overnight). I think a little goes a long way for this one, too, more like a heavier moisturizer.• The clarity mask has a crisp, menthol / minty scent. I think this spreads less far - so I expect to get fewer uses out of the tube. It's fine but I think what I need is really more moisturizer. What I was less excited about• The sample size tubes are not full, the masks are maybe half-full. The face cream has a little more in its tube. So pay attention to the weight, not the size of the tube.• The listing should be much more clear about the nature of the scented product. Some people love the scent, I prefer more neutra.• Instructions are itty bitty and printed on plastic, hard to read
The NUORI Discovery Kit is a nicely curated selection of five trial-sized skincare products, perfect for testing European skincare or gifting. The packaging is neat and travel-friendly, but the product sizes are quite small, so keep an eye on the product weights.**Foaming CleanserThe foam has a luxurious texture that doesn’t dissolve too quickly and leaves the skin feeling clean yet hydrated. It rinses off easily and has a lightly sweet scent.**Vital UnifierMultifunctional toner/essence that comes in a spray bottle, which could use improvement—it sprays in unevenly rather than a fine mist. The toner itself has a subtle herbal scent and does a decent job of prepping the skin and locking in moisture.**The One Face CreamThis cream is unscented, lightweight, and absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. A little goes a long way! Felt great on my skin.**Supreme Moisture MaskThis is more of a rich lotion than a traditional mask. It absorbs slowly but leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. The sweet scent might be distracting for some, but very moisturizing.**Clarity MaskThe green-gray mask has a refreshing menthol-like scent and dries down matte. It takes a bit of effort to apply, so you might only get two uses out of the tube.Overall, the foaming cleanser and face cream are my favorites, but the clarity mask and toner could use some tweaks. The noticeable scents in some products and the small sample sizes are worth noting if you have sensitive skin. I like that the kit is perfect for exploring the brand or as a gift for skincare lovers.
Nice kit for those wanting to try out several products from the brand, or looking for an easy, all-in-one kit suitable for travel. The foaming cleanser is interesting, I haven't tried one like that before and it is a little strange for me to put cleanser on a dry face, but there is enough moisture in the foam to be able to work it around on the skin. It has a light, citrus-like fragrance. This works well for me on an average day just wearing skincare and sunscreen, but it's not enough for me to get a full face of makeup off cleanly. It leaves my skin feeling clean, but not tight or like it was harsh. The unifier spray comes out pretty strong, but still a fairly fine mist if that makes sense. I don't know that it's doing much for my skin, but it feels nice after cleansing. I can't tell a much of a difference between the face cream and the moisture mask other than the moisture mask consistency feels slightly thicker and less easy to spread. Both make my skin feel hydrated without being greasy. The clarity mask has kaolin and bentonite clays in it, and feels like it helps balance the oils on my face without being drying. I do wish that the clarity mask was in a different colored tube than the face cream, they're both in the same sized white tubes and grabbing one out of my bag, I always have to read the label and will probably end up putting a sticker on one so I can more quickly and easily distinguish them. All 5 products were labeled with expiration dates, however, there were no safety seals on them beyond the piece of tape on the box.
