Great find!
First off I paid for this product with my own hard earned money. No sponsored reviews here. :) This was a great find. I randomly stumbled upon this sunscreen browsing mineral sunscreens on Amazon and I’m really glad I ordered it. I was very hesitant because it’s a bit pricey but i figured I would give it a shot because of the high zinc content. I am pleased with the fact that it has 23% zinc as the active ingredient. Most zinc sunscreens these days have a much lower zinc percentage, and if they do have high zinc they are extremely unflattering. I am pleasantly surprised with the nice finish and blend ability. It has a very light beige color that blends out easily. It’s nice it has a very slight tint to counteract the natural white cast zinc has. It works well on my fair skin tone. I don’t find it gives any real coverage, but I do feel like it slightly counteracts the redness in my skin a bit. The finish is soft and moisturizing. I didn’t find it to be too greasy or drying. The finish is a bit velvety once dry. Some zinc sunscreens dry your skin out and this one definitely did not. I am currently on prescription hydroquinone tretinoin cream from my dermatologist for dark spots, anti aging, etc so wearing sunscreen every day is extremely important for me. My doctor recommended I wear a mineral sunscreen every single day, which I do. I normally hate the feeling of sunscreens but the formula of this one makes wearing sunscreen every day more enjoyable. One thing that is extremely important to me is that the sunscreen doesn’t pill and this one does not. It also re-applies well on top of itself. If I am outside all day swimming or active I will wear eltamd waterproof sunscreen, but for every day this Nuori sunscreen checks the majority of my boxes. My list of “musts” in an every day sunscreen are:-blends easily-hydrating but not greasy-applies easily on top of moisturizer-wears well under makeup-no white cast-at least spf 30-high zincThe only cons I have is the cap of the tube is a bit strange. It twists to open and shut. I don’t prefer this and it often times dispenses more sunscreen than I need when I close it. The price is a bit more expensive than I would like to spend for a 1.7floz tube. It doesn’t specify that it is waterproof, which I would’ve liked. Although the sunscreen isn’t greasy, during the summer I may have to set it with a light powder due to it being pretty hydrating. It has many moisturizing ingredients listed including glycerin, sunflower seed oil, vitamin e to name a few. Lastly the very light tint works perfectly for me because I’m very fair but people with deep skin tones may prefer a sunscreen with a darker tint. Although I think anyone will appreciate it is not stark white and blends out really well.

Not Greasy At All, Forgot I Had It On
“Strong UV protection with a matte finish.”-Anti-aging benefitsInstructions say to apply to cleansed, moisturized skin. When I applied it, I understood why. It is not shiny or oily at all. It absorbs immediately and does not feel greasy at all. Within a minute, I forgot I had it on.I can't speak to its sun blocking effectiveness as I am not an expert on sunscreen.

Effective, mostly natural, mate finish, non-nano zinc, a tad expensive but overall great
My first question was whether it's a nano zinc - I do my best to avoid nano skin products, because we just don't know the long term effects. They don't mention this anywhere on the Amazon product detail page! Thankfully, I read the company statement and philosophy, and they don't use nano products at all, which is terrific. This is my first experience with this brand but so far I like just about everything about it (except the price, seems a bit expensive).I'm also not a fan of the the benzene ingredient, but otherwise it's got high end quality ingredients that are mostly natural. It has no synthetic preservatives, stabilizers, or fillers. This is another thing I look for in any skincare product, and it makes this product an excellent choice for people with sensitive skin. Again, I appreciate NUORI's approach and brand philosophy. This has zinc plus minerals and a blend of other ingredients. I usually use plain zinc sunscreen (non-nano), which is thick, somewhat difficult to apply because it doesn't spread easily, and it stays on top of the skin (it's called a white cast). This does not stay on top of the skin - it's a brownish color, and you're supposed to rub it in, leaving a matte finish. I would think it works on all skin colors. Some users felt that it left a chalky feeling - I personally can feel it, it doesn't soak in like normal lotion, but to me it's just a normal matte finish.Warning, though, this is thick. I think that's just the nature of zinc based sunscreens. It's not nearly as thick as most zinc sunscreens, but be forewarned this is thick, almost a toothpaste consistency. You're supposed to apply 15 minutes prior to sun exposure, to give it a chance to soak in.You're also supposed to reapply frequently (it doesn't really indicate how often). It doesn't smell like sunscreen, no coco butter smell or anything like that. It smells more like normal lotion - it's a nice, pleasant mild smell. The only other complaint I have is the applicator - it dispenses from the lid, which is easy. But it's difficult to control how much you squeeze out, and difficult to get just a small amount.

It's fragrance free but not scent free
This sunscreen has a nice consistency with the slightest amount of tint. What keeps this in my cosmetics basket is the slightly beige tone, which keeps it from giving you that dreaded white cast with a lot of other mineral sunscreen.I, too, was a bit confused at first about the way the product dispensed, but now I like it. What keeps this from being my favorite mineral sunscreen is the scent. It doesn't have any fragrance but it does have a scent which is hard to describe. It goes away once on your skin or somehow I get used to it right away.

Mineral sunscreen with many other ingredients. Feels a bit dry. Smoothes skin. Odd tube design.
NUORI Mineral Defence Sunscreen is an unusual sunscreen product. It is a mineral sunscreen, whose active ingredient is zinc oxide, but it is not pure white. It comes out of the tube sort of a beige color, as you can see in the photo. Their Amazon page explains that this color is due to the French marine pine bark. The sunscreen does not give a white cast to the skin, as is common with mineral sunscreens, but your face can look a little more pale than usual.Nuori Sunscreen is not creamy or liquid as it comes out of the tube, it is a little bit dry. As they also mention on the website, if you have dry skin you might want to use a moisturizer underneath it. Interestingly, the sunscreen has kind of smoothing effect, it seems to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The tube design is a bit strange. As shown in the photo, there is a hole permanently in the cap. To dispense the sunscreen, you unscrew the cap somewhat and squeeze the tube. This works fine, but it has the consequence that there is always some sunscreen on the cap, so you probably would not want to put it directly in your pocket, purse, or backpack.Made in Italy.

23% Zinc Oxide
I am pretty impressed with this face sunscreen so far. I'm in the sun everyday and have been on a mission to find the best face sunscreen. Some key things for me are:1. amount of zinc oxide2. SPF3. water resistance4. white castThis lotion has a high amount of zinc oxide (23%), which is great, as most sunscreens have less than 15%. 30 SPF is the minimum you should look for, which this is. Little to no water resistance, which is a con for me since I can't use it for sports. There is a slight tint to this sunscreen, which helps alleviate the white cast effect most mineral sunscreens have. It's a pro and con in my eyes. While it helps you not look like a ghost, it does leave a brown tinge when rubbed off on clothing. This sunscreen is thick. It does take a bit to rub in, but it does blend well and leaves a matte finish without drying out your skin. It has a very light scent, which I can't quite put my finger on, but it's not horrible or overpowering. Bonus that this is reef friendly! One last thing to mention, the sunscreen comes out of a twist top. You twist the cover to open and dispense. When you twist to close the cover, there is residual sunscreen that pushes out after closing. Something to keep in mind since it is a little pricey and every drop counts.
