All of these products have a light rose scent, not too heavy or floral smelling. I really like the body yogurt, I can tell it has hyaluronic acid in it and it feels really smooth, makes my skin feel like silk, and soaks in well without leaving any greasy residue. The hand cream is a little heavier and takes a bit longer to soak in. It has helped reduce the cracking in the skin over my knuckles. The tube is small enough to fit in my purse and carry around. The body wash foams a fair amount with my loofa and doesn't leave much of a scent on my skin. It basically feels like a normal body wash. The packaging is cute, the pink and green feel preppy and trendy, and you could just put a nice bow on the box and be done.The part that was weird, was that my first thought upon opening it was that someone had used and returned it. The hand lotion looked like it had been torn out of the holder and the tube was all squished, like someone had squeezed some of it out. I thought that everything would be sealed, but none of the bottle had safety seals on them and even the corner of the outside of the box looked used and ripped, and it couldn't have come from shipping, as some weren't exposed until the box was opened. It was just odd.
Most important thing is that the lotion doesn’t leave me feeling greasy and it's very moisturizing. I have very dry hands, like cracked and flaking. All because I hate the lotions that are very moisturizing because they leave my hands a greasy mess, which I can't have since I work with paper. But both the hand cream and body yogurt literally feels like I idon’thave lotion on. I hate the feeling of ‘feeling like I’m wearing lotion’- if that makes any sense. No tacky feeling either, which a lot of lotions that claim to not leave you feeling greasy tend to feel like. For reference, I LOVE Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel an I wear that year round.The close second is the scent, and it’s fantastic. It’s so hard to get the rose scent without making it smell like bathroom potpourri, but the body shop did it right! It has a beautiful rose scent with a sweetness to it that isn’t overbearing. Once I put it on, the scent subtle down a little bit- which I like. I’m keeping the hand cream in my bag, the body yogurt feels the same when I apply it, so I honestly can’t tell the difference. But, the body yogurt contains hyaluronic acid in it, and the hand cream does not, unless I missed the writing on that. I’ll update with the shower gel, I tend to reserve those for vacations! The price isn’t insane for the quality and amazing scent. I’m telling you, if you love the scent of rose, you’re going to enjoy the British Rose scent. I haven’t seen The Body Shop in a while, I’m glad to see them back again! The gift set is perfect for... gifting, but this one's for me!
I ordered the The Body Shop British Rose Gift Set - 3 Piece Set, Includes Shower Gel, Body Yogurt, Hand Balm. The product came in a giftable box that you can either wrap or is pretty enough to gift without wrapping. The box is unsealed and none of the products have any tamper or leak proofing precautions. The products are all marked Made in Poland and I see no expiration dates. I love these coordinated kits from The Body shop. The shower gel is thick and lathers nicely. I feel clean after use but not stripped of my skins moisture. The body yogurt is an interesting moisturizer. I like this yogurt best when it is hot and humid out because it adds a nice layer of moisturizer without being heavy. This doesnt make me sweat like some other moisturizers can. It is kind of hard to get out of the jar though as it acts almost like slime and tries to ooze off your fingers and back into the jar. Once you get a feel for it though it goes easier. The body shop hand cream is thick and does a fantastic job of moisturizing dried out hands.I tend to like the Body Shops fruits scents best. Florals are hit or miss for me. The British Rose scent is a miss. I was hoping *British* rose meant a softer rose scent. It is strong, which if you really love rose is great. I like a gentle rose scent. The body wash is strong while you are using it but quickly fades. The body yogurt and hand cream are both stronger scents that last for hours after use. Again, great if you love the scent and it is certainly the scent the listing promised.
British Rose... a scent that immediately makes me think of my mom. Rose is her favorite scent and every Christmas, for many, many years, she would get some of her favorite rose scented products. This set brings back many happy memories for me! :)The outer packaging came a little beat up. The edges of the box were torn and worn looking. Since it is being used by me and not being given as a gift, it isn't a big deal but I would be disappointed if I ordered this as a gift for someone. Also, none of the products have any kind of security/freshness seal on them.There are 3 different products in the set, all in the British Rose scent - shower gel (8.4 fl oz), body yogurt (6.91 oz), and hand cream (1 fl oz).The rose scent is soft and flowery. Others mentioned the scent having a sweetness to it. I don't get any of that. I only smell a soft, subtle rose. It isn't the most authentic smelling rose that I have ever smelled but it's still quite lovely.I love how well the shower gel lathers. It is thick when being dispensed and lathers up nicely in my mesh body pouf. My skin feels clean and hydrated, not stripped of moisture. The scent doesn't linger on my skin after drying off.The body yogurt has a smooth, gel like texture that makes it easy to spread over my skin. It feels cool and soothing when applied. The scent is strong and does last a fairly long time after applying.The hand cream is nice and thick, squeezes out of the tube easily and absorbs nicely. My hands are left feeling soft and hydrated without feeling coated or greasy. Even after washing my hands, I can still smell the lotion!If I were giving this as a gift, I would probably add some color coordinated crinkle paper to the bottom of the box to nestle the products in. The products aren't secured inside at all, they are just somewhat loose and rolling around in there. Crinkle paper would give it a more premium look and feel.
