There are many people who either can't tolerate retinols (sensitive skin) or who can't use them (pregnant, nursing, on medications), so these bakuchiol charged set from Herbivore is a wonderful alternative. I had always heard how excellent the "purple oil" from Herbivore was (the less powerful backuchiol serum), but this set has a supercharged Moon Fruit serum, which is mild, yet effective. My skin did feel smoother after using this, and without the harsh side effects of retinol. I also really enjoyed the little pot of eye cream. If you are sensitive to retinol, the last place you'll be able to tolerate it (but want to apply it for the effects) is around the eyes. The moon dew eye cream is moisturizing and non irritating. I am able to tap it on around my under eyes without any pulling or dragging. Over time, this eye cream will help soften and smooth the under eye area. Lastly, the facial oil smells like marigolds to me. Just a drop or two will impart a nice glow to the skin for daytime, and a more generous application can be used at night to seal in moisture. For me, this was a nice kit to be able to try out some Herbivore products and see if they would work for me. I found none of the skin care to be problematic or irritating. A word to the wise: just like you would if you were using retinols, you DO need to use sunscreen when using bakuchiol products. In fact, you need to use sunscreen regardless, just incorporate into your routine!
The "Herbivore Radical Retinalts Set - Includes Moon Fruit Serum, Moon Dew Eye Cream & Phoenix' arrived the day before I had to go on a business trip. I like to carry on my overnight stuff and these cute little containers said "take us along, you will not regret using us".I do like small sets of beauty products. It's a great way of trying something new without the risk of wasting money if you end up not liking the products.My skin did really well with these three products. I have dry skin. The serum and oil provided just enough moisture, I was stingy with the oil, I did not want to have a greasy neck. The serum does not smell appetizing, but it wasn't awful. The Moon Dew purple eye cream was nice to apply, it melted in my warm hand and spread easily under my eyes. I like that the eye cream has 1% bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol, I have had trouble with retinol around my eyes. this eye cream gave me no trouble at all.The box is really pretty and the 3 glass jars are nicely protected in there. This would make a great gift for someone you care about.
I am someone who takes care of my skin and have started a pretty consistent regimen.I’m always searching for new products and I like more natural ingredients than heavy chemicals.When I came across this set, I read the ingredients and description of each and thought it sounded like a great Item to try so I placed an order for it.It arrived a few days ago and overall I am pleased so far.I have read mixed reviews but for me everything felt really great and seemed to do a nice job.There are three separate products but all work hand-in-hand.I tried each one separately with a clean face and then left it on for a little bit to see how it feels on the skin and then removed it with water to make see the amount of residue if any was left behind on my skin.For me, everything felt really great and rinsed off completely.I applied to several places on my face According to each separate bottle.My skin had a nice glow to it afterwards and I was so pleased with the results they were achieved.The bottles aren’t too big so even though they are bigger than a sample size, they’re definitely smaller than your average bottle.So I will continue to use these until they are gone and then I will revisit this review afterwards and make any adjustments if needed.The long-term use may improve or Not be as effective so I want to make sure I give it a sufficient amount of time so I can accurately review this set.But so far, so good for me.Although it is a bit pricey, I definitely think the quality of ingredients you get justify the price and I can recommend you give this try.I hope my review helps you to make a more well informed decision.
