This is my 3rd bottle and I’ll continue use of this product.
This hair oil is good for your scalp and produces new hair growth.
I have been losing my hair steadily for three years. I won't launch into how entionally tough that is, but you can imagine. Add to that, the top of my scalp hurts like nothing else unless I used the purest of ingredients, don't pull it back in any manner, and keep all metal away from it (hair clips). For me, putting anything new on my scalp and risking the potential pain, doesn't happen very often.But, I've grown some fondness for Activ hair products, and this is oily (read = possibly soothing and moisturizing) so I decided to gamble and give it a try. Well, you would think I gave my poor starving scalp a 5-star dinner! It feels great, moisturized, my hair is thicker and more manageable, and the hair looks better - like it used to. I just used the dropper to drop very small drops of the serum onto my scalp and gently massage into the hairline at night. My head feels great in the morning. The odor isn't strong and dissipates quickly which is great if you're just trying to go to sleep without distraction.I haven't used it long enough to discern whether it will affect my hair shedding, but it feels so good that I just wonder in a little gentle nourishment is going to help reduce the shedding. I love this so far and will report back in 4 or 5 weeks.
The ACT/IV brand has several hair loss products. I have been using this brand of products including their shampoo and conditioner for about three weeks. I am trying to get the best results possible for my thin hair by using several of their recommended products together. This hair serum is definitely an oil and if I use too much it can leave my hair oily. The directions state you can use it on dry or towel dried hair. I like the ability to seemingly incorporate the serum into a larger area of hair when I use it on my towel dried hair than if I apply it on my dry hair. I am hoping that I am spreading it on a larger area that way.I count 15 ingredients in this serum and at least 8 of them are emollient type of ingredients and 4 or 5 are anti inflammatory ingredients. The listing pictures for this product where it shows the ingredients (thank you ACT/IV for listing the ingredients up front) does state that it is for the “APPEARANCE OF THICKER, FULLER, LUSHER HAIR”.When I look up these ingredients they appear to be safe and natural ingredients to me. There is fragrance listed in the ingredients but it is so lightly scented I have to really try to notice it. I have not been able to notice a lot of difference yet and it is still early considering the life cycle of hair. I feel as though I am not losing as much hair as I was earlier and I do think I can tell some difference in how my hair is appearing to look fuller. Since I am using two other ACT/IV hair products I don’t know which particular product or combination of products is responsible for the slight improvement. But I am happy with the results at this early juncture since growing hair is a long term process. I will be continuing with this brand and this product.
The price point on this is comparable to other high end oils/ serums on the market. What I like about this is you can use it as a stand-alone or with this system. Some thickening oils you have to buy the entire line but only the oil is promoted. This states the oil works on it's own. It will take time but we will see. The instructions say to fill the dropper. Well my dropper wouldn't get filled up, but only pick up about an eighth of product. Also the product drips from the dropper meaning it's a bit runny, not watery but if not paying attention it can leak from the dropper on to your clothes, etc., so be careful. I believe the consistency is due to it being a plant based and oil based formula. I also like this product is for men and women. Most are either men or women specific but this can be used for both.I will continue to use to see how well it works but as of now I would recommend and would purchase again in the future.
