Great but costly shampoo and conditioner set
This is a great shampoo and conditioner set, but I'm not sure if it is worth the high price point. The shampoo is super clarifying, and it leaves my hair literally squeaky clean. The shampoo also does and great job of exfoliating the scalp. The conditioner leaves hair nice and soft, and does give a little boost of volume. I also really like the included scalp massager. I think scalp massagers are super helpful for stimulating hair growth, and the scalp massager in this set is my favorite I've ever used. The scalp massager fits great in the hand, and is just great overall. Personally I mostly use my other shampoo and conditioner and then use this set when I want to clarify my hair.

So far, this has worked decently well for me. I have dry scalp and this has made some improvement to it. I’m hopeful. (Updated w/results)
I haven’t had time to see any results yet but I will say if this doesn’t show a significant change in the thickness of my hair then it’s not worth it. The price at $90. is outrageous for a 7oz bottle of shampoo and a 7oz conditioner unless you’re seeing some great results.The shampoo smells like mint and the conditioner smells a little like hair dye with a touch of cologne added to it. The shampoo is blue with something that feels like sand in it to exfoliate your scalp. It’s not as bad as it sounds, I just can’t think of another way to describe it.My scalp tingles & almost burns a tiny bit while using the shampoo & after waiting a few minutes before rinsing it out my hair feels very warm. After rinsing my hair feels extremely dry almost like hay. After using the conditioner it feels normal again.I have a scalp scrubber that looks exactly like the one that comes in this kit and I will say that this one is much more gentle but in a good, massage type of way and it cleans the scalp really good.It’s actually perfection.So I don’t really have dandruff but I do have a spot behind my left ear inside of my hairline that is a patch of dry skin & my scalp is dry plus my hair has gotten thinner in the last few years. So we’ll see if it helps with any of my problems. If it does then it’ll be worth it & I’ll order some more. If not then I won’t be spending 90 bucks for a very small bottle of shampoo and conditioner.Will absolutely update if I see any type of results.UPDATE:I’ve been using this shampoo for about 10 days now.That area of dry skin (behind my ear) that was in my hairline seems to have disappeared. Prior to using this shampoo that area would almost feel like I had a big scab there and I had my husband look at it & he said it was a patch of dry skin. I would even get big flakes in my hair after brushing or accidentally scratching that area. So I would scrub it with a scalp scrubber when I washed my hair but I couldn’t get rid of it.That area is all cleared up now! It feels smooth & clean now with no thick patch of dry flaky skin. I can’t believe it because it’s been there consistently for at least a year no matter what I tried & how much I scrubbed.I’ve also noticed that on my part or any area where I can see my scalp just looking in the mirror, my scalp is so clean that it shines. I wasn’t looking for it, I just noticed it. My part is squeaky clean and shines.Anyhow after 10 days I’m already seeing really good results from the shampoo!! I hope I’ll see some results from the conditioner too.As far as the price, I’m still not totally convinced that the price of this kit is worth it. I wonder if any dandruff shampoo would have cleared that patch up. Maybe, maybe not. I’m hoping it’s healed now but If that patch comes back after I’m done using this shampoo then I may try a regular priced dandruff shampoo to see if it helps & if not I’ll definitely purchase this brand of shampoo.If I see results from the conditioner & start to see new hair growth then I’ll definitely be repurchasing it and I’ll update again.After looking it up, the price of this specific kit seems fair compared to other sellers and websites. It appears that the thickening conditioner/shampoo is more costly.Another update-It’s been a month and the area behind my ear has totally cleared up & my scalp doesn’t seem dry like it was. I haven’t noticed any thickening though. I’m only going to use the shampoo and conditioner once every week now. I found that my hair gets greasy really fast after using it. By the next day it looks like I haven’t washed my hair in a week.

Good Scent, Thick Texture, Soothing Feel
This ACTIIV Ultimate Scalp Trio set is very pricey at the current $90. These are not large bottles of shampoo and conditioner either, these bottles are somewhat small I thought at 7 fl. oz. each. However, I really like the shampoo and the conditioner in this set. The shampoo had flecks of some exfoliating substance in it, it was a bit disconcerting. However I see that those are coconut shell particles. I'm not sure that exfoliating scrubs are really what you want to do to your scalp, my hair is thinning and those particles made me a bit nervous. However, they were few and far between and I didn't really notice any sensation of them scraping my skin. The shampoo is a light blue color and smells minty. It had a nice little tingle and soothing sensation to my scalp. The conditioner was smooth and white and worked well on my hair. Rinsed out fine. My scalp felt refreshed after using this duo. The scalp scrubber was soft and worked fairly well, but I would have like the scrubber prongs to be just a touch longer. Didn't seem to penetrate through my hair as well as i hoped it would. I think for a man with short hair, the scalp scrubber would work just fine- on my longer hair however it didn't work as well as other silicone scalp scrubbers I've tried. All in all, I really liked this set, but I don't understand why it is currently priced so high.
